Changing an Already-Sent Invitation To Include a Room Does not send an Updated Notice to Invitees

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and was addressed in Notes
5.0.4 Client and Domino 5.0.4 Server (spr # APAI3F4PU6). When a room is added
to a meeting or the location field is changed, the invitees will now receive a
reschedule notice. If you just remove/cancel a room no notification will be
sent to the invitees. This functionality will not change. Refer to the
document, "5.x C&S: Participants Do Not Receive Room Cancellation Notices if
the Chairperson Cancels the Room" for more information (#174377).

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.4 QMR fix list:

Calendaring & Scheduling - Time Zones
SPR# APAI3F4PU6 - Fixed the send notification, sent to invitees when the Chair
edits a meeting, to include or change a room reservation. [5.0.4]


Workarounds in 5.x prior to 5.0.4:

- Manually notify the invitees via the Owner Actions action button and the
Send Memo to Participants action.
or
- Highlight the meeting in the calendar and send a confirmation by selecting
the Owner Actions button, and selecting Confirm from the drop-down menu. Or if
you are currently in the meeting document, select the Actions button and select
Confirm.
or
- Cancel and reschedule the meeting.

Workarounds in 4.5x/4.6x:

- Open the meeting and select Actions, Send Confirmation; or click the Send
Confirmation action button.
or
- Cancel and reschedule the meeting.Supporting Information:
